The Howard County Prosecutor's Office represents the State of Indiana in all felony and misdemeanor criminal prosecutions resulting from crimes in Howard County, including rape, criminal deviate conduct, child molestation, child exploitation, possession of child pornography, sexual conduct in the presence of a minor, child solicitation, child seduction, sexual battery, sexual misconduct with a minor, sex offender registry, and internet sex offense. Our criminal division works closely with the Howard County Police Department and Indiana State Police.

Medical Care

If you have been a victim of a sex crime, please immediately call 911.

If you are a survivor of a sexual assault, you may have many health concerns. Your local hospital emergency room can provide you with immediate medical attention. Do not bathe, douche, or change clothes before the exam. This may destroy any evidence. If you were not examined at the emergency room, you may want to consider seeing your physician. It is important that you are treated for any physical injuries and that you have follow-up testing for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and pregnancy.
